ProStart Clutch for Harley-Davidson

The Rekluse ProStart Clutch is a high-performance, semiautomatic centrifugal clutch system that automatically disengages the clutch at idle. No need to find neutral or hold in the clutch while waiting at lights. You can safely stay in gear ready to go even with your hand off the clutch lever. The ProStart pressure plate assembly progressively engages your clutch as your engine RPM’s increase. Twist the throttle gently and the ProStart moves you forward smoother than you ever imagined. The more aggressive you are with the throttle, the more power is automatically applied to the rear wheel. The ProStart uses centrifugal force to apply pressure against the clutch resulting in much greater ”clamping” power than your stock diaphragm clutch spring could ever deliver. When you return to a stop, the ProStart Clutch automatically disengages the clutch for you with no engine “lugging.”

Shifting with the ProStart is otherwise just like using your stock bike clutch. Everything feels the same including downshifting and engine breaking right down to almost idle. The big difference you will feel is the MUCH LIGHTER CLUTCH LEVER PULL, especially at lower engine speeds. Below 3000 RPMs, pulling in the clutch is as easy as pulling a trigger. Even at high rev’s, the ProStart system requires much less effort than a stock Harley even with the Reduced Effort clutch option.
There are literally no disadvantages to the ProStart Automatic clutch

*   Never inadvertently stall your motor again.

*   No more cramped hand from holding in the clutch waiting for the lights to change.

*   Enjoy one finger, feather light clutch pull action. It’s so light you’ll first think the clutch cable must have broken!!

*   Every start is as smooth and consistent as the last one.

*   Much better clutch “clamping” power for those aggressive, rubber burning launches off the light.

*   And, with the precise control provided by the ProStart automatic clutch, those slow speed, sharp turning, foot peg dragging U turns and parking lot maneuvers just got a LOT easier.

*   Not expensive: 1993 to 2009 Sportster: $629.99, 1998 to 2009 Big Twins: $729.99 (except hydraulic clutch models add $220)

*   Very easy to install. Fits neatly inside your stock primary cases. Do it yourself with detailed instructions provided or have it professionally installed by factory trained technicians at A1A for only $100 plus parts (gaskets) if necessary.
